Who We Are - SAFE Inland Empire
Who We Are
SAFE IE is a Direct Chapter of Streets Are For Everyone.
The Mission of SAFE IE, Streets are for Everyone Inland Empire, is to improve the quality of life of pedestrians, cyclist, and drivers by reducing traffic caused fatalities to zero. SAFE IE addresses the problem through direct education, awareness campaigns, policy and legislation, community outreach, advocacy, and support for victims.
SAFE IE, co-founders Kellie and Eddie Montalvo began their fight for safer streets after their son Benjamin Montalvo was killed by an impaired, texting, hit and run driver in the City of Corona on June 11th, 2020. Ever since, the family has fought for legislative changes, infrastructure changes, advocated for community events and provided support to victims and their family across the IE. They are ready to continue to fight and invite you to join them for Safer Streets!

A Commitment to Safety
SAFE Inland Empire is dedicated to creating safer streets for everyone. We have held a yearly event in the City of Corona for World Day Of Remembrance, and Biking Events. Volunteered at tour to Palm Springs, and participated in Every Fifteen Minute Programs, advocated in Sacramento, and Washington DC for Legislative Changes, supported victims in ghost tire events, supported families in court and participated in research projects for Bike and Pedestrian Safety with Cal-Walks Berkeley and SafeTREC
